If you’ve ever felt capable but stuck — or successful on the outside and restless inside — you’re exactly who I love working with.

And I know what it's like to lack confidence.

One of the first lessons I learned as a kid was that I was a chicken. I watched my older sister do things that I was too scared to try, and spent my childhood convinced that a person was either born brave or they weren't. And I definitely wasn’t. But in junior high, a teacher asked me to try to beat my sister’s long jump record at school. Yikes! In my world that felt impossible. My sister brave and bold, and I wasn't.

But the teacher saw something in me, and encouraged me to try. And before long, I went from questioning whether I should even attempt the jump, to actually beating my sister's record and setting the longest long jump record at the school. And went on to set three other records for physical fitness. Wow! I could do it.

It was that moment that taught me that bravery isn’t born—it’s built, and when you decide to put aside your fear of failure, and just show up with consistency, eventually bravery shows up.

The spotlight was terrifying and intoxicating all at the same time.

Fast forward: The decision to follow my big dream turned into a 25-year career performing on Broadway. Growing from the girl who was once terrified to sing in public —to a girl belting out tunes to thousands was unbelievable for my younger self. It took tons of mindset shifts, hard work, and tears to eventually find my comfort in the spotlight.

New York is a place to make dreams come true and my entrepreneurial pursuits were still important to me so while there, I also c0-founded a theater company, wrote some musicals, and had a pop song I wrote hit the charts.

A season of change that hit us all.

But life has seasons, and after nearly nearly 30 years performing in shows eight shows a week, and running my business, and writing two musicals,  and, and, and this girl was tired. I was tired of the hustle, of the city and the lifestyle.

And when I made the choice to leave NYC and move to Tennessee for a more peaceful life, my timing was impeccable because shortly after that decision, the pandemic hit and obliterated the live entertainment industry and my business that served it.

But my success building courses, memberships and content opened up an opportunity to lead content strategy and development inside a $250-million company in Tennessee, and this time I jumped at the opportunity to finally satisfy that corporate life I was offered after college.

Who would have guessed that a stable job would be where my bravery made the biggest contribution. Because others saw my fearlessness, I was able to others rally others around big ideas for the company.

The simple framework that took me through every season.

I know what it feels like to be stuck and paralyzed by fear.  I also know what it takes to break through.

That’s why I teach a simple, powerful approach that I live by every single day that works in your business and your life no matter your age, background or season. Now, is always the right time to start living the life you were meant to have. Here's how:

Decide what you want.
You've got to get clear about what you actually want — not what you think you should want.

Believe it's possible.
You must learn to trust yourself and your instincts, even when fear shows up.

Go out and do it.
You're not going to make a change until you take intentional action, every day, step-by-step, until your life and business reflects brave you in whatever season you're in.
